The Paganoni family originates from the Bergamo Valleys, tracing its roots to the Val Brembana. The various members of the family were active in a number of different fields during the nineteenth century, ranging from the timber industry to the priesthood and medicine.
Their formal entry into the timber cutting and trading industry was accidental, resulting from the exchange of an inheritance. Despite the absence of an official date of establishment, there are some documents dating back to the early Twentieth Century, when the family sawmill was relocated to Bergamo.
Paganoni Legnami’s vision expands towards new commercial horizons. The opening of the Milan office in Viale Monza marks a fundamental milestone: at a time when this area was still predominantly agricultural and offered space suitable for industrial expansion, the family chose to double its presence.
Our multi-hub structure was born from the combination of skills in Bergamo and Milan. This legacy has evolved into a fluid and coordinated organisation, capable of guaranteeing efficiency and solidity at every stage of every job.
Originally established as the production facility and sawmill shared by the two branches of the company, the Pioltello site was transformed into a strategic hub capable of efficiently serving the Milan metropolitan area, consolidating our identity as a structured industrial partner.
Paganoni Legnami has never changed ownership in over a century of history, maintaining its identity and values. Today, the experience of the fourth generation, represented by Marco and Piero, comes together with the energy and vision of Davide, Tommaso, Andrea, Filippo and Mattia, who represent the fifth generation.
The opening of the Livorno hub was a natural response to our international growth: a tactical warehouse that acts as a gateway for the finest woods from America, Asia and Africa.
2026 marks a true return to our roots with the reunification of the historic Bergamo and Pioltello premises under a single corporate identity.
