The FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international non-profit organisation whose members – conservationists, social groups, indigenous communities, owners of forests, technicians, certification boards, and companies that process and sell wood products – work to improve the management of forests and plantations all over the world, upholding the principles of sustainable development.
Independent certification and FSC® labelling allow the identification of wood products as originating from forests that are managed appropriately and responsibly, in compliance with strict environmental, social and economic standards.
Certification is carried out by competent organisations (certification boards) which are assessed, accredited and monitored by FSC®.
FSC® certified products are available on request.
Fitok certification guarantees the quality and safety of shipments to foreign countries and ensures that the wood used for packaging is free from contamination.
PEFC, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes, is a certification system for sustainable forestry management at national and regional level. The participants in the development of this programme are representatives of the owners of forests and poplar plantations, end consumers, users, freelancers, wood industry professionals and tradespeople.
The main aim of this programme is to improve the image of forestry and the forest-wood supply chain, providing a market tool that allows the marketing of wood, parquet flooring and forestry products sourced from sustainably managed forests and plantations.
